-- The Missouri PTA's mission is to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the

protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of
this nation.
Missouri Science Olympiad
-- The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the
quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition
for outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers. These goals are
accomplished through classroom activities, research, training workshops and the encouragement of
intramural, district, regional, state and national tournaments.
Missouri State University
K-12 Science Outreach -- This site provides information on summer programs and science
fairs in southern Missouri, inlcuding the Ozarks Science and Engineering Fair, the Science
Olympiad, the Missouri Junior Academy, and the Missouri Innovation Academy.
Science City at Union Station
-- Science City at Union Station in Kansas City has more than 50 interactive areas, providing
hands-on science fun, including a dino lab, crime lab, astronaut training center, and a severe
weather center.
Science Teachers of Missouri (STOM)
-- Science Teachers of Missouri (STOM) is the state chapter of the National Science Teachers
Association (NSTA) and provides information on conferences, awards, the Missouri Assessment
Program, and the Building a Presence for Science program. There is also an extensive list of
science education links.
St. Louis Science Center
-- The St. Louis Science Center features a multitude of hands-on exhibits, an OMNIMAX theater,
special youth activities, and summer camps.
St. Louis Zoo -- The St. Louis Zoo
offers several science programs for kids, inclduing educational tours, classroom programs,
sleep-overs, activities, games, and crafts. The zoo will also travel to schools to present outreach
programs in adaptation, classification/animals, conservation, and ecology.
